Africa has significant energy supply challenges with less than 10% of the population in many countries having access to electricity. High fossil fuel cost in many regions and increasing industrial demand exacerbates the issue. With staff across South Africa and Tanzania providing our full suite of services, we have particularly extensive experience in project design, engineering and energy efficiency measures.

Asia faces the challenges of demand outstripping supply, the provision of a cleaner, renewable and reliable supply infrastructure and the development of sustainable cities. The huge economic growth predicted will serve only to accelerate these issues further. Our suite of services is delivered from our offices across Asia, where we have extensive expertise in sustainable master planning and the development of cleaner energy technologies.

In addition to the global challenge of security of supply and increasing demand, Europe is tackling the replacement of conventional power plants and embracing the EU Emissions Trading Scheme. We have large teams across Europe, with major hubs in the UK, Finland, Estonia and Sweden offering our full range of energy services.

The Middle East faces a variety of energy challenges. The growth in population and industrial development requires improved infrastructure. However, the region faces difficulties with the security of supply due to the reliance on oil and gas. This reliance makes the move to cleaner power difficult, although rising energy prices will drive efficiencies. Our suite of services is delivered from our offices across the Middle East.

Challenges in the US include reducing the reliance upon imported oil, energy infrastructure development and modifying demand through efficiencies. Wind farms, solar power and other renewable activities will be accelerated through various forthcoming schemes, including the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative.
