Our goal at WSP Environment & Energy is and has always been to function as a partnership; a group of individuals with common values committed to helping clients achieve successful business outcomes and working together to enable each other to reach personal goals. The Management Board shares the leadership role and work with the vice presidents and general managers to help develop and implement our business strategy. We remain committed to building a culture based on individual leadership and collaborative creativity, where we deliver superior quality, service and shareholder value.
Providing excellent service is paramount to meeting our business objective. Therefore, WSP Environment & Energy is structured to optimize provision of these services. We do not operate profit centers or financially independent operating units. Instead, we perpetually adapt our organization to trends in our clients’ businesses, and continuously improve our services to meet specific client needs.
The size of our company facilitates effective control of project direction and cost. In our company, the senior management team knows everyone working on their projects personally and tracks the progress of every project to assess the quality of service. Our project managers direct the technical execution of projects and answer directly to their clients and to the senior management team. Unlike other environmental consulting firms, WSP Environment & Energy project managers have the authority to make important technical and budgetary decisions, and they are responsible for tracking every expenditure on every project.
The Management Board:
- establishes long-term business strategies and goals
- establishes company policies and procedures
- monitors progress toward the achievement of WSP Environment & Energy’s business goals
- assures quality and consistency throughout the company
- integrates new offices and senior personnel into WSP Environment & Energy
- promotes WSP Environment & Energy’s philosophy and culture
- assesses workload and ensures adequate long-term planning of necessary resources
- evaluates the feasibility of new products and services, including training and resource needs
The Regional Offices
Vice president or general managers run each of the regional offices. These vice presidents and GMs develop and manage clients; sell and market services; and manage their personnel and office, in addition to working on clients’ projects.
